I've been having dizziness, ringing in the ears and visual 'shakiness' for about a week and a half - after taking the max ibuprofen dose for several days to combat the pain from a sinus infection.It is been at least 4 days since my last dose of advil, but I am getting worried about the dizziness...
The half life of ibuprofen is about 2 hours, so after 4 days u should not be experiencing these side effects. Since u said u have a sinus infection, it is very possible u also have a otitis media (middle ear infection) which can cause the dizziness & tinnitus (ear ringing) u r experiencing. The visual shakiness is called nystagmus & is common when large amounts of ibuprofen have been ingested. It should, however, be gone by now. Drink plenty of water & go see ur MD if it does not clear up soon.
