I've been on Zoloft for over a year. It does not seem to be doing much for me, but now l am worried after being told by friends that Zoloft is very bad for your liver. l have not heard anything about this. Yet my friends were shocked that my family dr. would even prescribe it to me knowing its bad effects on the liver.

Any help would be appreciated. Oh and yes l will be asking my doctor but right now l am on vacation and wo not be seeing him for quite some time.

I hope not!!

But now that my anxiety is gone, I am going to try to get off of Zoloft. I hate being reliant on medication to get me through life.

Anything in excess is bad for your liver. You may want to consider acupuncture for drug-free depression/anxiey treatment. I was on 3 medications before and wanted to not have to take them anymore, and have not had to take anything for 3 months.
