How did Zoloft effect you? How long did you take it/ been taking it??

Zoloft did absolutely nothing to me, positive or negative. I only took it for a couple months.

I am on it now. it just makes me sleep and have ''off the wall' dreams. this morning I was laughing so hard in my sleep that I woke myself up.

I took it two years, at first, it made mr have terrible thoughts & one day i took the whole bottle & called 911, I just wanted someone to help me. then they put me on welbutrin xl & the zoloft, for 2 years. recently zi weaned myself off the zoloft & only take welbutrin xl, go to antidepressantsfacts.com & read about how bad this drug is, & all of them for that matter. I used to have the worst nightmares too, all side effects, also lose the ability to have an orgasm, what a bitc* that was for 2 years +. get off them, but gradually, not cold turkey.

I take Prozac which is in the same class of drugs as Zoloft. I have taken it for five years. When I first started taking it, it took about a month and a half before it became really effective.

It really helped with my depression and my anxiety. I do not recall any side effects when I first started taking it. I did take a couple of weeks before I could tell a difference and then about 6 weeks before I got the full effects.

Out of all the antidepressants that I've been on, and there have been a lot, Zoloft has helped me the most.

I felt excited about life and took charge of myself when I started taking Zoloft. I also did things I was always afraid to do and that I wish I had not coz I was right to not want to do those things.

My current doctor is putting me back on Zoloft coz it will perk me up while I am physically ill.
