i'm a 17 year old female if that makes any difference-- i'm taking zoloft for depression. l have adhd but i'm not currently perscribed for meds yet.

l would like to ask my doctor about adderall. is it safe to take these together?

(i would like suggestions before my doctors appointment)

Is it okay to take zoloft and adderall together

You could take them together, but your doc will be very hesitant to prescribe adderall.

Who diagnosed your ADHD? If it the diagnosis was made by a clinical psychologist/psychiatrist they would be the peoople who should approach your doc and discuss pharmacological management. If the diagnosis was not done by either of those specialities--say a school guidance counsellor, I do not think he will prescribe without a complete screening.

Hmm I seriously doubt your going to get adderall if you specifically ask for it. Abuse of adderall by kids around your age as a 'brain stimulant' is a growing concern in the medical community so I would bet he prescribes you some other CNS stimulant like Buspar or maybe Ritalin.

Ask your doctor, he should be up on what is compatible, and what you can use to treat each problem. Several years ago, my doctor knew what worked for eachof these, and came up with a combination that did not interact, and worked pretty well.

Just talk to the doctor.
