Ok,
So l have been taking ZOLOFT 50 mg from past 17 days.....for bad depression and Anxiety.

l have definitively seen some improvement in my mood not that much but l still have low energy and motivation to do anything.

l am still no where close to normal.

Does this meds take time to work ?

Doctor said give it 4 weeks ?

When do Zoloft start working

Your doctor is right, but. it takes 4-6 weeks at a therapeutic (high enough) dose for full effect. Your dose of 50mg may need to be increased at the 4-6 week time if, after discussing it with your doctor, he or she decided it is appropriate. That dose is a good starting dose for most people, as it will keep side effects to a minimum, but may not be high enough to treat the depression/anxiety fully.

When do Zoloft start working

i have been on zoloft for 9 years , and yes your doctor is right it takes a while to get the full affect , it produces a chemical in your brain that some people lack , but it sure helps just do not stop taking it

When do Zoloft start working

2-4 weeks is average, so hang in there.

When do Zoloft start working

I am on prozac, and it took me a long time to get back to normal.

I was on it for the treatment of panic attacks caused by an unavoidable phobia when I was 16. You need to give it at LEAST 4 weeks.

Do not give up though! Hang in there! By about the 3 month mark I was feeling much, much better.

Good luck. :)

When do Zoloft start working

4 weeks is a good estimate. It takes about a month for it to really work into the system. You might not notice the changes for awhile but eventually you will. Unless you have the adverse reactions your doc must have warned you about then you're not so good and you should get different meds.

When do Zoloft start working

4 to 6 weeks at least brother, you might actually feel worse during this period of time but do not stop them you will start to see an improvement soon
