how is zoloft supposed to make ya feel

It makes me feel stupid and lightheaded and that is about it. Sometimes a little sleepy.

Low mg. you probably wo not feel anything. Even when I had I chance to take it I never did.

* only way I can explain it probably on the same level as sniffing glue, does not really get rid of anxiety or social phobia but makes you feel retarded.

u r supposed to experience relief of ur original synptoms without feeling numbed-out. (The SSRIs were designed for short-term use while positive coping skills r developed, then weaned off the medication). Since u verbalize some relief of ur original symptoms, suspect expecting much more action from the medication at this dose would be futile. Can start looking at therapy or exploring new coping techniques for the relief of anxiety.

The SSRIs r very unique to each individual, & no two people will react in much the same way to them. So what potentially works for one person will not necessarily work the same way for another.

Depends on the person. Some people say it gives them a lot of energy and others say it makes them very tired yet calm.

I do not know I got the general emotional numbing and excessive drooling. o.O

Zoloft will help decrease some of the anxiety and/or depression. You may still have some anxiety but like you said it will take the edge off so your not constantly worried and it is not overrunning your life

It may take a couple more weeks to get the total effects - and if you are noticing improvement with zoloft it is possible to increase the dose a little higher for better control.

Kristen, it is not what you DO feel, it is what you do NOT feel. If you do not feel the symptoms of anxiety any longer, then it is working.

Go with Paxil CR, as the side effects are much less intense.
