What are the long-term health affects of a zoloft (sertraline) overdose

It can mess with ur bodies natural way of cycling seratonin. This is a compound that serves to regulate many functions in ur mind & body. For example, ur bowels.are known as ur ''second brain'' because of the amount of seratonin they process for you.

I know it sounds fantastical.but I was on zoloft for a while, & learned what I could about it. His or her troubles sound like ''
panic attack'' kind of ills to me. A specialist may be able to diagnose actual nerve damage, but my sense is that the overdosing did not hurt. There may be a continuation of the problems that required treatment in the first place.or some other med that may be more effective. Good luck in finding the answer.it is a life challenge for many who struggle with mental illness.

I do not know the long term health effects. But this question does not sound right to me. If you're thinking about taking an overdose, please do not do it. Depression is a very hard thing to cope with, but things will look up. Things will get better. Suicide is never the answer, no matter how horrible u feel, feelings always change, & situations get better. If you're thinking about suicide, please reach out for help. Your friends & family love u & would be devastated if they lost you. I could be wrong & u could be asking this for a different reason, & I really hope u are. But I had a bad feeling & I had to answer. Please take care. God bless. xoxo

*I am glad to hear it is not the reason I thought it was. I hope u can convince him to see a doctor, those things do sound serious, especially if it could be linked to overdoses years ago. Good luck, take care.
